“Work is worship” The regular and planned work leads one to become great men. “Also TIME” Once lost in never recalled’ and so you need to be punctual as well as regular. If you work hard and maintain regularity and punctuality in your life. You can touch any desired height, so note :-

  • At this stage you need learn to maintain discipline at your school, home and in social life.
    • Be kind and generous to all, it provides proper environment for your development and smooth ‘go’ to life.
    • Respect your elders and learn from their experience.
    • Respect your parents for they help you to grow and add to your knowledge and direct you the path for your progress.
    • Respect your teachers for they add to your knowledge and direct you the path for you progress.
    • Plan your time at your home with the help of your parents or teachers for your studies and games etc.
    • Finish your home work and school work daily in time.
    • Be regular and punctual.
    • Don’t destroy or misuse school property as it is for your use. You should do your work with devotion and zeal.
    • Any penalty or fine, if imposed on you, makes your realize your fouls or faults and helps to cultivate in you good habits.
    • Remember “HARD WORK” IS THE ONLY ‘HAMMER’ WHICH SOFTENS THE HARDNESS OF THE WORD “IMPOSSIBLE”

Request of the Parents

  1. Periodical Class Tests are held to assess the academic performance of the students . Progress Report Cards will be sent to the parents for their information. These Progress Report  Cards are to be signed by the parents and should be returned to the concerned class teacher within 3 days.
  2. The school expects full- co-operation from parents in every sphere of the child’s development in academic, extracurricular activities, discipline, morality and human values.
  3. Students, who continue to show irregularity in their class-room studies and home assignments, will not be allowed to continue in the school in the next academic session.
  4. No private tuition of the students studying in this school will be allowed. In case if parents has any problem regarding the child’s performance in studies the school will take care of the same with the full support and co-operation of the parents.
  5. The parents can meet the Principal on weekdays between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  6. The parents are expected to give due regards and respect to the teachers. In case of any grievances they should come to the principal and get the things sorted out.
  7. In case of insubordination or contempt of authority by the Parents, the principal has the right to expel their children/wards from the school.
  8. No school business will be transacted on holidays.

GENERAL RULES

  • All students must reach school in time.
    • First bell in the morning is the signal for all students to go to their respective classes for attendance: All students should march to the morning assembly class wise, in proper lines when the second bell goes.
    • After morning assembly all students should return to their respective classes in proper lines. The class monitors should control the class till teacher comes to the class room.
    • All students must take care of the school property. They should not’ spoil damage the property being used by them.
    • No books other than text and library books should be brought to the school.
    • All letters and correspondence addressed to the students are subject to screening by the principal.
    • Students should get their Progress Report Cards signed by their Parents/guardians within the prescribed time.
    • The name, class and section of pupil must be clearly marked on all his/her belongings.
    • No pupils are allowed to leave the school premises during school hours or in the recess without prior permission of the principal.
    • If a student does not improve his/her conduct in spite of repeated warnings, then his/her name will be struck-off the rolls.
    • The students must maintain discipline in the school at all cost.
    • The Students must come in with their parents/guardians whenever asked to.
    • The students must come in their proper uniform/identity card or school badge prescribed by the school authorities. School dues must be paid by the 15th of every month.

PROSPECTUS

TULSI MEMORIAL SCHOOL

I.   Aim of the institution:

  1. The school is open to all communities from nursery to Class-VIII; the medium of Instruction will be English.
  2. As an English medium school every effort in made to teach the students to handle English effectively as a written and spoken language.
  3. Hindi however is a compulsory subject as vernacular.

II.  Admission:

  • Parents/Guardians are asked to fill in the admission from with the utmost accuracy no subsequent changes will be permitted.
  • New candidates must be introduced personally to the principal by the person who will be responsible for his conduct and fees.
  • The candidate will be examined on the syllabus of the class immediately below that to which they seek admission.

III.   Dismissal and withdrawal:

  • Before withdrawing a student from the school a month notices is to be given or a month’s fee in dew of notice. Fees will have to we paid as long a pupil’s name is on the rolls.
  • The leaving (Transfer) Certification will be given on a search fee of Rs 200/-
  • In case the parents wish to withdraw the child from the school before the commencement of a new session, an application for the same should be submitted before the start of the new Session. If the application is submitted after the commencement of the session, the full session fee along with the current fees will have to be paid.

            Education Enlightens the mind

  1. Students whose attendance is irregular, who do not pay their fees, who are habitually late or absent, or lazy or disobedient, whose conduct is injurious to the moral tone of the school or incompatible with strict discipline may be dismissed.
  2. The school fees cover twelve calendar months and may be paid in monthly installments or in advance, No reduction is made for holidays or broken periods. Students are liable to be charged full fees as long as their names are officially or the rolls.
  3. The fees, must be paid before the 15th of each month, failing which a late fee of Rs 50/- will be levied up to the end of the month, there after Rs. 50/- per month will be charged. No fee will be accepted by the school office after 2.30 p.m. daily.
  4. DO NOT FOLD THE FEE BOOK.
  5. Pupils whose fees are three months overdue may be barred from sitting for an examination and will liable to have their names  struck off rolls and sent back  home without further notification.
  6. Ordinarily, no provision can be made for supplementary tests for students who are absent for any assessment/practical’s/project works. Leave during exams will not be tolerated and retests will be taken later’ on payment of Rs. 200/- per reset of paper for class 1 to VIII for UKG. Rs 100/-

IV.   Vacation

  1. There are two vacations during the year,
    1. The Summer Vacation (June)
    1. The Winter Vacation (December – January)

V.  Regularity Record* (Absents, Leave & Delay) :

  1. (A) Leave of absence is not given. No student is allowed to stay away from school without a previous written application from parents/guardian stating the reason, which must be a serious one. Such reason as birthdays Excursions, festivals are   not considered sufficient. Any student who stay away from school for more than seven days without any written information to the principal  will  have  his/her name struck of the rolls without any further notice and re-admission will have to  be sought if desired to come back. In exceptional cases the principal may grant permission only up to seven days.

           (B) Reasons for absence due to unforeseen circumstance even if only for a day or due   to sickness which may exceed 2 our 3 days must also be stated in a letter (from a doctor or from the parent/guardian under ‘absence’ reasons of private nature may always be submitted in a letter.

  1. After absence from class the reasons for the absence must be entered briefly in the regularity record under “absence” in the Calendar.
  2. Leave for religious ceremonies or special occasion must be obtained earlier, (And usually they are not granted)
  3. Leave granted must be recorded in the regularity. Record under “absence” in the calendar.

Late arrival to school is not to be tolerated. A student who comes late to school must enter the date and time of arrival into the Regularity Record under ‘late’. All students must be in school by time respectively. Parents are requested to keep a check on the child’s attendance & leave record.

  • Late arrival may be penalized each time with a fine or with some other suitable penalty.
  • Students who comes late school habitually may be fined or sent back home or both.
  • Reports are to be collected on the day of distribution and submitted back  signed  by the guardians on the day scheduled by the school dates, the  defaulters  will  have to pay fine of Rs. 100/- for submission and Rs. 100/- for late collection, Parents are particularly requested to sign the report, or similar documents when issued.

(A) In case any parent wishes to review the answer scripts of the word. One must submit an application along with the review fee of Rs 25/- per subject to the principal within 5 days after the result. Please note that the school will preserve the answer scripts only for ‘Thirty days after the distribution of reports.  No further requests will be entertained after the aforesaid period for review of answer scripts.

(B) In case of an error in the tabulation of marks, the parent’s guardian will bring the same to the notice of the principal within 5 days after the distribution of the report of the particular class. No complaints will be entertained after the scheduled period.

  • Re-admission to class for absentees and late-comes, is granted when they can show the teacher- in change the regularity record duly counter signed by the principal.

Other Rules of General Conduct and Discipline :

  • Failure to appear at any assessment can seriously affect a student’s promotion.  The breach of any of the regulations of conduct at examinations or the use of unfair means even if discovered subsequently, will merit the cancellation of the particular paper and the student concerned will be awarded a zero. And if such misconduct is repeated, he will be expelled from the entire examination. (All subjects)
  • School begins with the Morning Assembly and student must be on time for it. If not they may be penalized.
  • The school is not responsible for the loss of any person: belongings. Students are not allowed to wear any form of jewellery.
  • The school Calendar must be brought to school every class day. The student must enter his name and class into all the entries for ‘absent’, ‘late’, ‘uniform’ etc.
  • No student will be allowed to leave the school campus during the school hours except on the strength of a letter of authorization from his parents/guardian. The offender may have to face serious disciplinary consequences.
  • Any damage done to school property must be compensated by the offender.
  • Students are responsible for the safe custody of their own books and belongings. Each article should be marked with the student’s name.

For Parents/Guardians :

  • Parents/Guardians are requested to co-operate with the school authorities.
  • By urging their wards to be regular and punctual in attendance.
  • By not engaging private tutors without consulting the school authorities.
  • By seeing that their wards are diligent at their home work and lessons.
  • By insisting on neatness and cleanliness in their book, exercise books and personal appearance.
  • By occasionally interviewing the Principal or Headmistress to discuss the progress of their wards.
  • Parents/Guardians are not allowed to see their child or to interview teachers during class hours without the special permission of the principal.
  • Parents/Guardians are requested to see that their wards do not wear any ornaments made of gold or silver, in the school. The school will not be responsible for the loss any such articles.
  • All communications to the school should be addressed to the rector/Principal.
  • Any pupil falling two years succession in the same class or failing in three consecutive years will be struck off the rolls and considered withdrawn and the

T.C. with be issued along with the report, the same/applies to students who are  too old to continue in the same class. THERE IS NO PROMOTION ON TRIAL.

  • In case of a loss of the ID card a replacement of a duplicate can be made at [the written request from the parents of the students concerned on payment of Rs. 50/-]
  • In case of loss of fee book a duplicate will be issued on payment of Rs.  50/- within 3 days.
  • Library: Library rules regulations is to be followed strictly which are given to the students at the beginning of the new session.
  • Physical Training is must. The students are not to be absent themselves from this class which will be held every Saturday.
  • The school authorities have the right to dismiss student for any of the following reasons without warming :
  • Immoral behavior.
  • Habitual contempt shown to the school authorities.
  • Deliberate destruction of school properly.
  • Repeated dishonesty
  • Persistent mischief among students.
  • Fight in school premises before or after school hours.

Attitude to schoolmates:

  1. Strive to edify your school- mates by your good example at all times. In fact no sermon is more efficient than good examples.
  2. Never make fun of those who are backward in their studies or not so quick to  grasp their lessons. Let there be no ridiculing of any on account of his physical defects. What you laugh at or despise in others may someday befall you.
  3. Gladly help one another. During recreation make no distinction in the choice of your companions. Let no one be need to make a sacrifice for the sake of the term, let it be made cheerfully.

Behavior at school:

  1. To write or draw on the blackboard (except when called upon to do so), to write words offensive to anyone to soil walls or maps or anything else are things absolutely to be avoided.
  2. Take great care of your text-books, blank books and other belongings, should you find a lost article give it at once to the Principal.
  3. Keep the floor-clean by allowing no paper or ink to fall on it.
  4. Cleanliness and purity of soul are reflected by a clean and neat exterior.

GEMS OF FOOD BEHAVIOUR

  1. Be in time for school daily.
  2. Keep your hands and face washed and hair well-trimmed and brushed.
  3. Keep your clothes and books neat and tidy.
  4. Do not write on the walls.
  5. Put papers and fruits skins in the proper containers dustbins.
  6. Keep your hands and feet away from walls.
  7. Do not play in verandah of Classrooms.
  8. Say “Please” when you want something.
  9. Say “Thank you” when you receive something.
  10. If you have to interrupt adults conversation says “please excuse me”.
  11. Do not peep into class rooms in case your pass by.
  12. Do not stand near the older people when they are talking together.
  13. Allow the elder people to go before you.
  14. Be courteous.

Fee must be paid within 15 of every month. In May-Fees of May, June should be paid.

Note: Parent’s of students who are coming by school vehicle are responsible for dropping and picking of their ward/child after and before school.
